Timer Setting or Replacement

Timer Setting or Replacement

Is your timer not working right for your sprinkler and/or drip system?

You’d probably be surprised how often we get calls about simple timer issues. We don’t laugh at people for that at all. Timers on older equipment were not that user friendly and could fall out of sync for very simple reasons. It doesn’t matter what type of system you happen to have or if we were the ones that actually installed it in the first place or not. Give us a call and we can help you get everything set up to your liking. While making sure that the sprinklers are getting water exactly where they need to!

What Is The Best Schedule To Follow?

We kid you not, we have met many folks over the years that bought a home that came with a sprinkler system and they essentially had to plan their lives around the sprinklers schedule. Because they had no idea how to turn them off. If you are doing anything new with your lawn you may want to experiment with different watering schedules. The climate around here is pretty constant, but we do get some variations. It may be wise to change at times. There is no one perfect schedule; it really depends on the type of grass that you have, and the type of sprinkler system. If we get a chance to work on your sprinkler system we will gladly make a recommendation. Doing so here would most likely lead to uneven results for people who want to follow a general schedule.

Teaching You How To Set Your Timer

As much as we don’t mind coming around your home every time that you need some help with your sprinkler system in general, we feel that your timer is something that you should have the ability to set on your own. Yet, we also understand that different systems can operate with unique controls. We can spend some time teaching you how to set everything up. It’s really not a problem!

When Do You Need A Replacement?

The time frame again can vary quite a bit. A lot of the older systems still work with very rudimentary timers that are non-digital. They have never broken down in 20 years of use. So, in these cases, you may be updating the timer whenever you decide that you want to update the whole system. In other instances, we end up replacing timers not necessarily because they don’t work anymore. Some people want more control over their sprinkler systems. So they want us to update their timers to achieve that.

Is Replacing Your Timer Really Worth It?

We are just going to be honest here, sometimes when the timer goes it is not odd to see that some of the other parts of the system follow. So, you are faced with the reality that you can keep updating your system bit by bit or you can just go with a full overhaul right out of the gate. Whatever it is that you decide to do, you can be certain that we can cover it.
